Uppsala was the stage of a three-day marathon of BIOMETHAVERSE activities. From 13 to 15 June, project partners and the local biogas community took part in several project-sponsored events
Six months into the project, Consortium partners enjoyed their second General Assembly and shared progress on the activities taking place in each Work Package. A technical workshop, open to local biogas stakeholders, put the spotlight on the project’s five innovative biomethane production pathways. Each demo site presented its pilot technologies to boost the production of biomethane in Europe and shared insights on national policies and regulations concerning biomethane. The workshop was also an occasion to discuss which policy barriers, at both national (France, Greece, Italy, Sweden, and Ukraine) and EU levels, challenge the upscaling of biomethane.
Needless to say, BIOMETHAVERSE partners travelled “green” and moved around stunning Uppsala riding the city’s biogas-powered buses.
